In this post I want to bring a mathematical puzzle. If you think you have a high I.Q. you can test yourself with this puzzle.
In former times 3 sons received some horses from the inheritance of their father. Before his death he willed that the first son would receive one second, his second son would receive one third and the last son would receive one ninth of the horses. But the problem was that after the death of the old man the number of the horses was 17 and their divisions seemed impossible according their father's will.
Now, can u solve this problem? Remember that your solution should be convincing.
Imam Ali the leader of us who are Shiites solved this problem more than 1400 years ago.
We will postpone introducing Imam Ali until later. But you can read the interesting answer to this puzzle in the comment part of this post.

For solving this problem imam Ali added his own horse to their horses, so the number of horses became 18 and according to their father's will, the first son received 9 horses (one half), the second son received 6 horses (one third) and the last son received 2 horses (one ninth) and a horse remained out of 18 and it belonged to imam Ali. Imam Ali withdrew
his own horse and in conformity with their father's will he could divide the horses fairly among the sons.
